MUSIC VIDEO: ‘DER LETZTE TONE’

ADDED THE 11TH OF FEBrUARY 2024

We are proud to release the music video for the song "Der Letzte Ton" created by photographer David Foli.

Recordings where done in snowcovered greenhouses during the dead of winter. The temperature where well below zero and while heat was provided by a simple wood stove we recorded the video as darkness fell. The atmosphere was quite unique and matched the music perfectly.

Concerts in the SPRING 2024

To support our upcoming release 'In Trödelmarkt der Träume', we will play two concerts in the spring of 2024

We will play at Metronomen on the 28th of March 2024 and at Christianhavns Beboerhus on the 22th of May - for details, see below.

Both concerts will feature two sets. We hope to see you!

Album release: IN TRÖDELMARKT DER TRÄUME

Totemtanz' second album, 'In Trödelmarkt der Träume' was released today and is available from all the usual streaming platforms.

Recorded in late 2023 the new album contain 9 tracks which further expand on Totemtanz’ unique sonic universe and include elements of both rock and jazz. The album have been recorded and produced by Johnnie McCoy.

About

Totemtanz is a modern jazz quartet that draws inspiration from a wide range of musical styles and combinations of sounds including jazz, rock and modern composition music.

Based in Denmark, Totemtanz combines Nordic folk traditions and the rich jazz heritage of Copenhagen with the nostalgia of European interwar period cabaret.

Their eponymous debut album was released in December 2022 and the track “Abstrakte maskiner 2” was in frequent rotation on Danish national radio.

The quartets second album “In Trödelmarkt der Träume” further expands on Totemtanz’ unique sonic universe and was released in January 2024.
